Sue Hook is an English visual artist living in Kerry, working with painting, sculpting and drawing in mixed media. Her work references the wild landscapes and seascapes of the Dingle Peninsula in West Kerry and the animals and people who inhabit this beautiful region at the very edge of Europe. Originally graduating from Reading University, England with a B.A. Hons degree in Fine Art, Sue worked in television, then for over twenty years in illustrated non-fiction publishing, mainly in London. In 1991 she won a national amateur garden design contest. This resulted in a new career, graduating with Distinction from the Oxford College of Garden Design, where she later taught studio and subsequently running residential garden design courses and building her own practice. In 2007 she moved to Ireland with her husband to pursue her long held ambition to paint full time.
